Capturing Tradition: My Journey at the Luna New Year Exhibition
Participating in the Luna New Year Exhibition, arranged by Studio KT1 and Cass Art, was an incredibly enriching experience. My piece, inspired by cherished family memories, portrays my grandfather and his comrades celebrating the Lunar New Year together in his home during the 1970s. It captures the warmth and vibrancy of a traditional Chinese New Year’s Eve gathering, a scene brimming with nostalgia and cultural significance. The mixed-media composition—crafted with markers, colored pencils, pens, charcoal, and oil pastels—allowed me to bring depth and texture to the joyous atmosphere. Sharing this personal story through art in such a dynamic exhibition was both an honor and a meaningful way to connect with others through shared traditions.
